Recent estimates report the mean cost of developing a new drug for a rare condition can range from $314 million to $2.8 billion dollars.1 Smaller patient populations with rare and ultra-orphan conditions could pay a high price for therapies that are often times life-saving. Accredo aims to help patients access and maintain therapy and secured and applied over $2 billion in assistance for patients in 2022. Accredo provides social worker support for financial assistance with utilities, food, mobility, transportation, and more to remove barriers to therapy.
